Three things you should be buying on ebay

Here are three items you use a lot when building boats, all available on ebay for substantial savings.

1. Stainless, square head deck screws - These are available in large quantities for about 1/3 the cost of what you'd pay for them in a retail outlet. The square heads are great. If you're still using phillips head screws, you don't know what you're missing. Do an ebay search on stainless deck screws.
   
2. You can get great deals on fiberglass tape on ebay. If you try to buy this stuff from your local marine or fiberglass supply house you'll pay 5 times as much. I've been paying less than $30 for a roll of 100yards 2 1/2 inch tape. Do an ebay search on fiberglass cloth and you'll be surprised at what you find.
   
3. I go through lots of these. It's great having several boxes around knowing you paid less than a quarter each. Do an ebay search on chip brushes.
