Sail Test #2
Rigged the mast again today for a correct test for the sail. This means that the mast hoops are on (I'll need one more), the sailed is tied on to the boom and the gaff poles and the uphaul lines are running through the deck blocks (I installed them backwards) and teh lines are tied on to the belaying pins.

Basically, with a few minor modifications and additions, the boat should be ready to take its 1st sail on Monday!
I still have a half dozen things to do like install the cleats for the mooring lines, attach a line to the centerboard to be able to pull it up, install the tiller handle to the rudder and a couple other minor tasks.

Hi Steve, I hope you'll post lots of photos of your launch. If you can get a video up on YouTube, I'll help you embed it on the site.
If you centerboard is wood, it will float so you'll need a bungie chord to hold it down when you're in the water. Don't ask me how I learned that! <grin>
;-) Paul
Thanks, Paul. I will be taking pics and will try to remember to make a video to which I will install a link.
The rudder has an 8" x 8" piece of lead in in so that should hold it down. My only concern is for the rudder. It has no lead in it and I am concerned enough about it floating off to bring a small nylon line along to tie it down, just in case it gets any ideas!
Everything is ready so if the weather cooperates and she does not have a major leak, I am looking for a good "shakedown" sail of at least 2 hours.
